Functional Safety Certification (ISO 26262)
Certification
The ISO 26262 functional safety standard requires that all people who develop safety-related E/E systems have sufficient specialist knowledge (cf. ISO 26262-8, clause 5.4.4). Corresponding evidence is regularly requested by customers. A certification exam is a valuable opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of ISO 26262 knowledge, gained from prior training and/or professional experience.
This ISO 26262 certification examination, administered in collaboration with Technische Akademie Esslingen (TAE), is an excellent opportunity for employees to prove their expertise in automotive functional safety in accordance with ISO 26262. Employers receive a certificate for each employee who passes the exam, which can be used as a building block for your corporate competence management program.

- Multiple-choice questions, available in either German or English
Further Information
- The online exam is administered by the Technical Academy Esslingen (TAE).
- The use of a webcam is mandatory during the exam.
- Prior participation in an ISO 26262 training course, e.g., Functional Safety for Automotive Professionals, is strongly recommended but not a mandatory requirement.
