We all know a lot about tools and the value they add to our safety life cycle. But what happens is one of the tools does not behave as expected? What influence could an error in a the tool have on the final product under development? How can we detect potential tool errors and facilitate that a malfunctioning tool does not result in a defective product?
This self-paced e-learning module provides an introduction into the tool classification and qualification requirements of ISO 26262. By means of a digital knowledge map, it allows you to acquire or recapitulate essential knowledge at your own pace. The knowledge map - enriched with video, graphical animations, and a worked out example - helps you to better understand this essential topic and deepen your understanding of the corresponding requirements for tool classification and qualification in ISO 26262:2018.
This training class is targeted at automotive professionals (functional safety engineers, software project leads, software engineers, engineering managers, and quality managers) involved with the development of safety-related automotive E/E systems.
