Project Description
Highly automated and autonomous systems in various sectors (automotive, aerospace, rail, maritime, health care, and agriculture) are all facing the same challenges. Growing complexity and the need to consider multiple conceivable environmental scenarios play an especially large role here. The goal of ENABLE-S3 was to build and work on a use case highway pilot and, consequently, establish cost-effective virtual and semi-virtual V & V platforms and methods for autonomous cyber-physical systems (ACPS) that could be applied across many domains. In order to significantly reduce verification and validation time and, at the same time, obtain test validity for the required high operating area, enhanced functional, safety, and safety testing methods were developed. The MES Test Manager® (MTest) served as the primary co-simulation platform during the project.
